Master of Sports of Ukraine in Boxing Alexander Onishchenko died on May 15 near Bakhmut.

“Oleksandr Onishchenko is a master of sports of Ukraine in boxing, champion of Ukraine among youths and juniors, winner of the Carpathian Cup, Kuzhelny Cup, Arsenov Cup, member of the Ukrainian national boxing team.
He represented the boxing federation of the Sumy region and trained under the guidance of Dmitry Dubrov.
Alexander died near Bakhmut, defending his homeland from the Russian enemy. Today, May 24, the hero will be escorted on his last journey.
Boxing Federation of Ukraine expresses sincere condolences to the family of Alexander.
Eternal memory to all who laid down their lives for the sake of freedom and independence of our state.”
