Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp shared his opinion on Chelsea’s poor results this season:
“Honestly, I have a little sympathy for Chelsea because they are not doing very well. I think it’s a top team. But, on the other hand, it’s nice to see that you can’t just put together the best players and think, they say, it will work.
We need to build a team. And it was this factor that the guys underestimated, setting an almost impossible task for the coaches. You can’t have two locker rooms, you can’t train on two fields. You need to create relationships, team spirit. I like this way.
Chelsea will be fine in the end. They will become incredibly strong next season, but I’m only using them as an example. At the highest level, you can’t do that. And we won’t do it.
You need to bring the right players and build a team. This team has written a sensational story, and now we are starting a new one, that’s all.”
