Former world champion Joe Calzaghe (46-0, 32 KOs) reacted to the tears of Vasily Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) after the fight with Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs).

“To be honest, I had my first fight in my life at the age of 10. Then I lost by split decision. After that, I beat that guy six times. But my first experience in the boxing ring was defeat. I lost 10 fights and cried every time. And you know what? I think that if I lost as a pro, which, thank God, did not happen, then I would have done the same.

I watched the Lomachenko-Haney fight. It was a fairly close fight, but I think Lomachenko won this fight. It was a great fight to watch,” Calzaghe told Boxing King Media’s YouTube channel.

Note that on the night of May 20-21, Haney defeated Lomachenko in Las Vegas on points (116-112, 115-113, 115-113) and retained all his belts.
