Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has commented on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal fight for the Premier League title after a 4-1 defeat to his team in the 32nd round of the season.
“I know Mikel Arteta very well and the players know that Arsenal will not give up. One of the main gifts for Arsenal has already been made – getting into the Champions League next season. They won’t give up. When we’re 10 points clear, I’ll say it’s almost over, but the reality today is that we’re two points behind. We have two games in hand but we have to respect the teams we play against – West Ham and Brighton – and we have to beat them,” Guardiola said.
Arsenal are in first place in the Premier League table with 75 points after 33 matches. Manchester City are second with 73 points after 31 matches.
