Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola commented on the 2-1 victory over Fulham in the 34th round of the Premier League:
“I didn’t have any doubts. The game was tense to the end, but one should not expect otherwise.
We play a lot of matches, but it was clear that after beating Arsenal it was very important to win those games. The players were doing great.
We responded well to the missed ball. We played well, we were on the rise. It was not easy for us, because the opponents defended well, it was very difficult in the penalty area. Marco Silva prepared them well.
It was important to come out on top but Arsenal will play again on Tuesday. The game in the reserve, against West Ham, will be important. After that, we will really lead.”
