The leader of Shakhtar and the national team of Ukraine Taras Stepanenko hopes that before the end of his career he will be able to return to Donetsk occupied by Russia and play at the Donbass Arena.
So far, the 33-year-old player does not plan to complete his performances.
“I want to continue playing, I have motivation and strength. Despite the war, my main dream is to play at the Donbass Arena. Sometimes young players ask me if we will play at the Donbass Arena. Of course we will, because I want to do it.”
“I don’t want to lower the bar of my performances. If I see that I can continue to play at this level, then I will continue. And if they say that I’m not pulling, then I won’t omit my name, ”Stepanenko said.
