On Saturday, April 29, the match of the 4th round of the Championship Group of the First League between the clubs Obolon and Karpaty took place. The game ended with the score 2:1 in favor of the Lviv team.

After the end of the match, the president of Obolon Alexander Slobodyan commented on the outcome of the meeting:

“Playing with ten against twelve on the field is hard. The referee added 7 minutes to the second half. We scored a goal in the eleventh minute of extra time. We replayed the second half by ten and a half minutes. Here is the answer to the question why our team lost 2:1. Of course, their player skillfully executed a free kick, no one argues. But, in this case, the judges did not let us play, especially the second half.

After we were sent off, I shouted from the stands to Karpaty coach Andriy Tlumak that they had come here with their referees. I can’t say anything more.

I have been thinking for many years whether to continue in such conditions? Will this system ever be broken? We expect that this system will be broken, that normal order will be restored in our football. But, unfortunately, so far these are only dreams. Mine, our football club, our fans and people who share our views.”

Obolon remained in the minority in the 65th minute, Taras Moroz was sent off the field. Karpaty Lviv scored the winning goal at 90+11 minutes.
