As part of preparations for the III European Games, the Ukrainian women’s beach soccer team will play friendly matches with the teams of Poland and Portugal in June.
In the group round of the European Games in Poland, the Ukrainian women’s beach soccer team will play in group B along with Spain and Italy. Poland, Portugal and the Czech Republic will play in the other three. To prepare for the prestigious tournament, Yuriy Klimenko’s wards will hold two training camps.
The first of them will be held from May 30 to June 4 in Gdansk. During it, Ukrainian women On June 3rd and 4th they will play two friendly matches with the team of Poland.
On June 5, the blue-and-yellows, at the invitation of the Portuguese Football Federation, will go to the town of Nazare, where they will hold another training camp. Within its framework, our team will play against Portugal twice. Matches scheduled for June 6th and 7th.
After that, on June 10, the Ukrainian women’s team will fly home, but several of its players will remain in Nazar, where they will play for their clubs in the European Champions Cup.
Recall that both the men’s and women’s beach soccer tournaments at the European Games 2023 will be held from June 27 to July 1 in Tarnow, Poland.
According to the rules of the competition, the women’s teams at the group stage will play in a one-round tournament, following which the two best teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. Losers will compete for 5-6 places.
